International Programs

Explore International Programs in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is one of the best destinations at NC State to learn about our world.  We have many programs and degrees that help students with global competencies. From History, English and Philosophy and Religious Studies in the humanities to Sociology and Anthropology, Psychology, Social Work and Communication in the social sciences, all our majors offer opportunities for you to engage with the world.

Our Foreign Languages and Literatures Department offers a dozen languages for you to explore. In Interdisciplinary Studies, our program in International Studies allows you to engage across disciplines that explore the changing geopolitical landscape. Africana Studies gives you an opportunity to study black experiences from a cross-cultural and international perspective. The opportunities are boundless.

Our college is a leader at NC State in sending students abroad. Our faculty sponsor programs around the globe where you will have life-changing experiences. And we’ll do all we can to help you get there: the college offers several  scholarship programs to support international study.

The college supports the Travel Scholars Program, a seed grant that encourages underrepresented and first-generation students to go abroad. Contact our office for more information about the Travel Scholars Program.
