Two CHASS students earn prestigious international Gilman scholarships
Two students from NC State’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences received the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, to study abroad this summer. The Gilman scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.
Congratulations to Stephen Minervino (History/Art and Design), who will study in Prague, Czech Republic, and to Olaf Almquist (International Studies/Economics), a Hamilton Scholar who will study in Jordan.
