Find Your Fit

As a student in one of our programs, you’ll fine-tune your interests and discover new ones through a diverse course of study.

You’ll learn inside and outside the classroom and have opportunities to grow through internships, study abroad and research projects. Our goal is to help you launch not only a successful career but also a satisfying and rewarding life.

Admission Info

Whether you’re a prospective freshman, a transfer student or a current NC State student looking to add or change majors, we have options to suit your needs.

Prospective Freshmen and Transfer Students

Choosing where to apply and what to study can be difficult. As you consider your options, we recommend identifying your academic interests and exploring opportunities inside and outside the classroom.

When you’re ready to apply, the NC State admissions office is your best source of information for application deadlines, requirements and review processes.

Current NC State Students

Are you interested in adding a second major, adding a minor or changing your degree to one of our programs? We can help with that.

To add or change majors, students must complete NC State’s Change of Degree Application (CODA). Eligible students must have completed 12 or more graded credit hours at NC State and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Additionally, Interdisciplinary Studies will give preference to students who meet specific qualifications for their desired program.

Learn By Doing

Many of our students participate in hands-on learning activities such as:

  • Study abroad
  • Internships
  • Undergraduate research
  • Entrepreneurship workshops
  • Alternative spring break trips

We’ll help you find opportunities to grow inside and outside the classroom.
